My Gaming Schedule for the rest of 2014

Quite a pointless post to start off the week, but just sharing what I plan to play over the next few months.

29 September - 14 Oct 2014
Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed Liberation & Assassin's Creed IV

Just trying to catch up with these series before the newer games come out. Can't seem to get a steady group of friends to play Borderlands 2 with me so it looks like I have to go solo if I want to complete Borderlands 2 and all the DLC before Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel comes out.

I'm taking my time exploring the world with AC IV and that's slowing me down but should be completing both AC games before Unity and Rogue releases.

14 Oct 2014- Nov 11 2014
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
If everything goes smoothly, I should be ready to start on the latest Borderlands game when it releases. But looking at the sheer number of DLC that is available, I don't see this happening. Plus,I don't want to be going back and forth between the games so I wanna finish BL 2 before starting on this.

Nov 11 2014 - Mid December 2014
Assassin's Creed Unity & Assassin's Creed Rogue
2 huge games that might take a while to complete, especially with the beautiful open-worlds to explore. Will want to explore these games thoroughly, before tucking them away on the shelves.

Mid December 2014
Far Cry 4 & Grand Theft Auto V
With GTA V coming out on the PS4 with extra content, I would love to get back into Los Santos again. Still got some way to go before I plat this game but I might push this back to next year if I feel I want to spend more time on the earlier games.

Far Cry 4 is also big on my list but I have yet to play Far Cry 3 so either GTA V or this might have to wait for the barren month of January.

Far Cry 4's new Pagan Min Trailer and who's that behind the Figurine?

Ok 2 cool updates from Far Cry 4

Firstly, a brand new trailer of Far Cry 4's Insane Villain, Pagan Min..

Crazy fella! It's amazing how you can sense his insanity, without him even doing much. He just sits there and you have that niggly feeling that something bad is going to happen.

At the end of the trailer, there's a twist with the UbiCollectibles Pagan Min figurine. Few days ago, I made this post with a couple of pics of the figurine. Those 3 pics were the only ones I could find on the internet.

Looked like a straight-forward piece. Pagan Min standing atop some debris, with a pistol in his hand and an assault rifle right beside him. The wall behind is adorned with colourful graffiti of a tiger.

Well that was then.. this trailer showed a surprise. Behind the wall is a young girl with her head in her hands and a bloodied knife beside her.

So who is this girl? Whose blood is on the blade? Far Cry 4's Villain has just gotten a lot more creepier than I thought.

Well.. looks like this is not just another figurine of Pagan Min but could have revealed something sinister about the game's plot.

UbiCollectibles' Altair Figurine Pics

Got this recently!

The long-awaited 'completion' of the Assassin's Creed Figurine line from UbiCollectibles. Of course, there are many who would argue that the line isn't complete without the others like Aveline, Adewale and Desmond to name a few.

Just looking at the main games however, we now have the entire line-up of Assassins.

Nice artwork on the box..

Let's take it out of the box.

This one is huge. It's pretty much in scale to the other recent UbiCollectibles figurines; the ones with bases.

That's a huge bell!

Enjoy more close-up pics of the details..

The blade is a little bent right now but trust me when I tell you that these things tend to straighten out by themselves over time..

I love UbiCollectibles' figurines. I really do.. but those face sculpts..

Another bent weapon.. The sword is surprisingly removable. Not that it has any use though. You can't equip it in either hand, so back in it goes..

Another cool figurine from PureArts under the UbiCollectibles brand. If you can look past the hidden face sculpt, this is the best Altair figures out there.

Being the first Assassin that started it all, this was a highly requested character and you have to say kudos to UbiCollectibles for listening to the fans and putting this out for the fans. Especially, those who have recently jumped aboard the franchise, after it's growing success.

Apart from the McFarlane Altair figure coming out in November, I honestly don't see the other lines coming out with a Altair figure. (Though I still have hopes for a Play Arts version).

If you are a fan of the franchise, you got to pick this one up. Even if you didn't enjoy the 1st Assassin's Creed, Altair will always be a Legend..

He puts the highly sought-after Crouching Altair figure to shame. This one is a lot more detailed.

I wasn't too convinced about the base when I first saw it. It just seemed odd to have a base that is bigger than the figure itself and the incomplete walls didn't seem to fit but I like it a lot better now than I have it in hand.

Bigger than the Connor figurines..
Hope you enjoyed the pics!

Another Far Cry 4 Pagan Min Figurine from UbiCollectibles

Another of Ubisoft's franchises is getting more love from UbiCollectibles.

Far Cry 4 already has 1 Pagan Min figurine in the Kyrat Edition.

And now, another figurine featuring the 'Man in the Pink Suit' has been announced.

This will most probably be a stand-alone UbiCollectibles figurine, and will be a great piece to have alongside the Kyrat Edition one.

Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass Details

What's new?! Nothing actually.. Assassin's Creed games always come with Season Passes!

No different for AC Unity.

The Season Pass comes with several pieces of DLC, including an
'Expansion' - Assassin's Creed Dead Kings
A New Game - Assassin's Creed Chronicles China
and some content for AC Unity's Story game.

The extra content for AC Unity will include 3 new missions, namely;
The American Prisoner
Killed by Science
The Chemical Revolution

30 Customization options, and new weapons, gear and skills. The Season Pass will also include the exclusive launch-day Fleur de Lys Sword.

Dead Kings

The Dead Kings campaign will serve as an expansion to AC Unity. Set in Saint Denis, this campaign follows Arno, after the events of  AC Unity and away from Paris.

Chronicles: China

Not only is this a new story away from AC Unity (Or maybe there are ties?), the entire gameplay will be different.

If you saw the trailer, this one looks a lot more like a side-scrolling game, than the open-world exploration we know from the AC games.

Many fans will be happy to see Shao Jun getting her own (mini) game but the style may not have been what they expected. Beautiful art style but not exactly what I was hoping for either.

Priced at US $29.99, the Season Pass should save you 30% as compared to purchasing it individually. 8 hours of new content has been promised, but if you take it slow like me, you get 16 hours!

All the content is expected to release before early 2015. Oh and if you pre-order, you will get an exclusive double-handed war axe.

Hmm.. how do you pre-order a Season Pass DLC? Purchase before the first DLC comes out? Not too sure about that.

Anyway, I love the content available here. Always up for new campaigns and new stories, expanding the AC Universe. Now let's wait for some AC Rogue Season Pass!

Mortal Kombat Release Date, PreOrder Bonus & Fight Kontrollers?

Couple of news regarding Mortal Kombat X has been announced recently.

We have a confirmed release date, 14 April 2015. For those who pre-ordered, you will be able to play as Goro. That's just crazy awesome!

Also, at the recent Gamespot Expo in US, someone spotted these modified PS4 and XBox One Controllers.

Cool right?

I would have preferred those bigger fightsticks like the ones from MK9 but I wouldn't mine these.

Based on Mortal Kombat Online's article, these are made by Performance Design Products. Based on previous products, the D-Pad on the left is replaced with a thumb joystick.

"The Versus controller goes for an interesting blend of both approaches, in that it uses a thumb joystick. It’s the same size as a d-pad, but the internal workings are those of an arcade joystick. In essence, it’s a joystick that is controlled by your thumb."

Interesting.. I would like to get the PS4 version, if there's no other fightstick bundled with the game.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Nisha's Gameplay, Skill Tree Details and BL2 Nisha Costume Shift Code

Check out the Skill Tree of Nisha from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Nisha's Skill Tree is shown in brief detail by Rev3Games.

Nisha's Action Skill is called Showdown, which gives her a huge boost in gun-play. No fancy summons or berserk modes here. When Showdown is activated, you will be able to Auto-aim while receiving boosts to Gun Damage, Fire Rate, Reload Speed, Accuracy and Bullet Speed on all gun types except Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launchers.

A little boring to be honest, but might be very handy for solo players.

One of her Skill Trees will be named Law and Order. Because Nisha's a Sheriff!

Law and Order are 2 skills in that Skill Tree as well.

Order is a skill that allows you to gain stacks every time you take 15% of your max health.

The higher the no. of stacks, the higher the chance to heal double the damage taken.

Law, on the other hand, increases your Shield Capacity and Melee Damage.

If you are going with the Order skill, you should also take the Discipline skill to fully benefit from the stacks.

Not only does the Order stacks help you with healing, but also with Shield Regeneration. Adding 5 stacks to the total, if you have more than 10 stacks, you will also gain improved Melee Damage, Gun Damage and Shield Recharge Delay.

Under the Fan the Hammer Skill Tree, you will see some Kill Skills.

One of the coolest Skills in this tree, or all the trees for that matter, is the One for Each of Ya.

Basically, this skills duplicates the current Pistol that you are holding, for the other hand. I love the Gunzerker (BL2) and the Berserker (BL) because of their dual-wielding abilities, so I love this skill as well. This will be fun.

Lastly, is The Riflewoman Skill Tree.

This Skill Tree allows Nisha to 'fire from the hip'. I'm not exactly how this works and the video doesn't really explain much either, but some of the skills here are extremely powerful.

One example is The Unforgiven..

This will allow all shots that hit enemies to ricochet during Showdown. And when Showdown ends, all enemies that have been shot will be hit with an explosion. I'm not sure if this includes enemies that have been hit with ricocheted bullets. That will be too awesome if it does!

Overall, I don't feel that Nisha's skills are as interesting as Wilhelm's and Athena's. There's not much crazy action but a lot of her skills focus on straight-up gun damage. Which can be a good thing for newer or lesser-skilled players. Sometimes, trying to handle too much can be a little overwhelming.

That said.. her ability to dual-wield Pistols is making me lean towards her at this moment. It's too bad that the skill is so far down the Skill Tree. But, who doesn't like a woman with a whip?

IGN's Detailed Skill Guide lists down the stats for each Skill Tier.

Check out some game-play from Gamespot.

and more from Escapist News.

Don't forget to use the Shift Code to get a Nisha cosplay outfit for your Maya in Borderlands 2!

My PlayArts' Assassin's Creed Collection

Still not convinced about going for the Play Arts' Assassin's Creed Figures Deal on Entertainment Earth?

Here's a few pics of my collection..

And a few shots of Ezio, which I purchased again after the Connor & Edward Kenway Figures were about to be released. Glad I found a good deal on this. It was a 2-hand figure but I was convinced that there were no defects on the figure.

Looking at the prices on Ebay, I'm very happy with my purchase. Got the trio now, now I wish Play Arts will continue the line with more Assassin figures.

Don't miss this great deal, just click on the affiliate banner link below.
