Assassin's Creed Unity Guillotine Collectors' Case Pics

Another addition to the Assassin's Creed family..

The Guillotine Collector's Case for Assassin's Creed Unity.

This edition wasn't named Collector's Edition but rather Collector's case, probably because the game itself wasn't included in this but rather separately. Probably a logistics issue but it could also be to sell the Collector's case separately without the game, later on.

However, as of now, there's still no standalone edition for sale.

Moving on..

Translated to "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, or Death."

The cool factor about this case is the sliding panel to replicate the Guillotine Blade.

Very nice design..

However, the quality of the case isn't that great. The sides of the case are already a little loose so the 'blade' keeps falling out easily.

Sliding off the panel..

A drawer-like box at the bottom for the rest of the contents..

Steelbook

Not 100% sure, but I believe this is exclusive to the Guillotine Collector's case so a nice Steelbook to have.

Soundtrack

The series has always provided wonderful tracks over the years and this year is no different.

Secret Paris Map
This is supposed to be the Secret Paris Map but I can't figure out how to open this up without damaging the seal..

Lithographs

Gorgeous art as always..

Artbook

Music Box

Tarot Cards

Not going to open this up just yet.

Framed Canvas Print

Something new this year.. Last year, we had the 2 canvas prints in the AC IV's Black Chest Edition but this year, they framed up the canvas print, although there's only 1.

Frame is cheap stuff and the print is rather small, but it does look good.

The Statue

Again, similar to last year.. they have 2 similar-posed Assassins on different bases. This edition comes with the bigger Guillotine base.

More pics..

The base has quite a lot going on, but the focus is definitely on Arno. Surprised to see the Assassin's emblem missing on the French flag.

Overall, another amazing Collector's Edition for the Assassin's Creed series. It's getting pricier but there's enough content in it, for collectors to be satisfied.

On another note, I have been slacking on the collection updates but that means I'm playing games more these days. Still have plenty of new stuff to update on the blog, including something AC Unity-related.

This item isn't a CE or any of the merchandise that you can buy off retail/online stores. Something special.. Someone has already spotted it on a pic I uploaded on Instagram, but they haven't found out what it is yet.

I'll try to get pics up asap so stay tuned to the blog. If you are on Facebook, do give my page a like to get all the latest updates over here..

Mortal Kombat X Brutalities showcased!

Brutalities for Mortal Kombat X have been revealed!

According to the video below, there's going to be over a 100 Brutalities in the game, with some form of requirements needed to perform the Brutality.

Not what I expected of Brutalities, but it still looks like fun.

Lots of details regarding Brutalities and of course, there's several Brutalities shown in the video below!

At 26:12, there's a subtle hint of who Sub-Zero is.. Kung Lao's intro speech. "A dead man walks..".

I'm slowly starting to suspect that this Sub-Zero is actually Bi-Han and not a new person. This character's voice is also deeper and more rugged for Kuai Liang. I'm thinking that Bi-Han was resurrected again and he has become Sub-Zero.

So where's Kuai Liang? In the MKX comics, there's a Sub-Zero as well, who was attacked by the Kamidogu by Kano. I'm guessing that is Kuai Liang.

So what about Noob Saibot? Bi-Han was the original Noob Saibot so maybe they will switch roles now? Kuai Liang becoming Noob Saibot. To be honest, I have no clue and I'm just throwing out guesses.

There's a rumour that we will see a story trailer with reveals of a lot of characters very, very soon.. with some fan sites saying, even as early as tomorrow! I'm going to be looking forward to this!

Edit: Added the Brutalities teaser trailer for those who don't have the time to watch the full video above. You can thank me later, Leon.

Mark the date, GTA Online Heists are coming on March 10.

We finally have a date! March 10.

Mark your calendars, set a reminder, scribble on your notebook or do whatever you do to remember appointments.. Online Heists are coming to GTA..

Oh yea.. and PC Gamers, set another date, April 14 where GTA comes to your platforms. May the modding begin!! Can't wait to see those mods that people come up with.

It's been a damn long wait, to the point it has become a joke but this is Rockstar. They never disappoint.

Sure, I may have some complaints about the way GTA Online turned out, but it was and still is an epic game on it's own. With so many games these days, coming up with payable DLC for redundant stuff like gun skins & horse armour.. 'Heists' is actually a 100% free DLC!

Enough said..

McFarlane's Assassin's Creed Series 3 pics

Pics of Series 3 of McFarlane's Assassin's Creed figures.

Altair

Nice touch with the missing finger on the hand with the wrist-blade.

Ezio (Revelations)

Felt they chose the best outfit for Ezio, across the 3 games. That said, I would like to see a few variations of him from AC2 and AC Brotherhood, in future series.

Edward Kenway (Mayan Outfit)

While some figure variants can be rather random, I thought this was a good choice for a variant. Players will definitely remember this outfit as a unlockable for completing all Mayan Stelae puzzles.

Definitely an excellent choice as you can feel the connection to it, instead of randomly choosing from one of the many outfits Edward had in the game.

Ah Tabai

Probably the reason why this is my favourite of all the Assassin's Creed lines. It may lack the presence and detail that collectors can get from the bigger figures but the inclusion of minor Assassin characters that aren't the main protagonists, makes this line special.

A true collection for the Assassin's Creed fans, I would say.

Arno

Nice selection of accessories to show the different modes of the Phantom Blade. The likeness to Arno could be improved though.

That's it. Solid 5 figures in this Series 3.

Each figure comes with a code for some XP in AC Initiates, except for the Arno figure, which had something a bit more special.

The code unlocked the Master Assassin Outfit which was designed by Todd McFarlane himself. Take a look at the video below for a good look at the outfit.

Cool stuff! I like that Ubisoft are including, a Legend like Todd McFarlane's work, in the game. Assassin's Creed comics in the future?
