PCS Collectibles' Mortal Kombat updates & teases - 22 Sep 2016

Lots more new stuff since my last update!

Life-Sized Busts

The Sub-Zero Life Sized Bust has already went up for Pre-order and there's less than 50 pieces left of the Exclusive.

Missed out on the MK9 version and when I tried to get it after release, it was almost impossible to find.. So, if you are planning to get this, you might want to be quick.

Again, I'm forced to miss out on this for financial reasons but I'll be ready for Scorpion!

This should be out for PO in the next 1 or 2 months I believe.

Sub-Zero 1/4 (Mortal Kombat X)

The 1/4 MKX Sub-Zero PO was scheduled to be next..

but was recently pushed slighly..

Some info on the 1/3 Mileena's Sculptor. Collectors will be pleased!

Not much details on the 1/3 Goro yet but we have another video update on it's progress..

I'm very happy to see that Goro won't be hunched a lot, so this is going to be one towering beast. Coming along very nicely..

That's all planned for 1/3 this year! Also some updates about the release of the 1/3 Ninjas..

I was a bit disappointed to not see the different character variations for the MKX 1/4 Scorpion and Jerry had this to say in regards to that.. Oh well!

We had another teaser for a 1/4 MKX statue late last month!

Probably up for PO later this year?

One of the very popular characters in the community but not as well-known. MKX was the first time we see Tremor as a 'official' playable character with a totally new & very interesting character design.

This is another character with visually interesting character variations. Let's see what PCS chooses for the variations.. I would love to see his rock hands!

A collection video was also posted on PCS Collectibles' Instagram page..

and check that out!

1/4 Klassic Goro and Kintaro side-by-side!! Can't wait for Kintaro to arrive. Gonna place these 2 Shokans beside each other with the rest of the Klassic line flanking them.

Not this year though based on this update..

Tthings aren't looking too great for the Klassic line..

Hopefully the future releases do better, there's a couple more must-haves for this line.

Better news for the MKX line however..

Shinnok for next year?

Lastly, I know you rich buggers are waiting for full-scale statues for Mortal Kombat but no plans anytime soon..

That's all for this update. NYCC 2016 is coming real soon and as mentioned above, there will be 3 statues debuting at the event. I will be updating the blog again with lots of pics, videos & answers either before or after NYCC 2016, depending on how much info we get. Stay tuned!

UbiCollectibles' Assassin's Creed Legacy Collection of Busts: What's Next?

So, I have gotten my Busts from the Assassin's Creed Legacy Collection. Another product from UbiCollectibles & produced by Pure Arts.

All complete in my book.. technically not, but I don't plan on getting the Bronze versions..

If you haven't seen the pics, here are the links:
Altair
Ezio Mentor
Ezio

Have to say.. I'm very, very happy with them. The details really show on these Busts and the one complaint that collectors usually have about the Assassin's Creed figures has improved tremendously; I'm talking about the Face Sculpts!

A lot more realistic looking and life-like if you ask me.. They have turned out really great. Perhaps the larger scale has given them more room to work on the details?

Thankfully, the collection isn't done yet. There's definitely plans to do more of these Busts. When the Ezio Mentor & Altair Busts were announced, a teaser image was also posted which revealed more Busts will be added to this line.

As shown, there's a placeholder for 4 more Busts. Whether or not, UbiCollectibles will stick with just 4 more Busts or continue adding on more remains to be seen. However, it is clear that we will see more Busts..

One of it was announced not too long ago, with the Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection Collector's Edition.

The Black Edition of the Ezio Bust. No news yet if this would be sold separately or if it's exclusive to the CE.

Another one could be of Edward Kenway. A life-sized Bust was showcased at China Joy 2016 gaming event.

I always felt that the Assassin's Creed characters don't warrant a Life-Sized Bust or large scale statues but looking at this makes me think otherwise.

However, there doesn't seem to be any plans on releasing this but I would gladly purchase it if it was up for sale!

Coming back to the topic.. Like how the Connor Premium Statue was eventually made into a smaller mass-market figure, I have a feeling this  Bust would be made into a smaller version for the Legacy Collection. The design fits perfectly with the other Busts and all they need to do, is to add the black base to it.

And long before these Busts were even announced, back in Jan 2014, UbiCollectibles teased this project with the image below..

Our dear Connor from Assassin's Creed 3 in the middle..

So, friends.. If you are planning to get into this line, it's time to do so! For those who are already collecting these, what do you think of them and are you excited for what could be the next few Busts to be released?

UbiCollectibles' Assassin's Creed Ezio Mentor Bust Collection Pics

The 3rd Bust (Not counting the Bronze Editions) in UbiCollectibles' Legacy Collection is the fantastic Ezio Mentor Bust..

Check out the details..

My favourite so far.. Stands out from the other standard Assassin Busts. This is based on Ezio from the Assassin's Creed Revelations game where he was promoted to the the 'Mentor' rank.

Ahh.. Memories! Makes me want to re-visit the Ezio trilogy now.. Gonna get the Collector's Edition for the goodies only but now I feel like playing the games all over again.

UbiCollectibles' Assassin's Creed Altair Bust Collection Pics

And now for the pics of the Assassin's Creed Altair Bust from UbiCollectibles' Legacy Collection..

Once again, love the face sculpt on these Busts. A lot more realistic and more detailed all around.

Had to play around with the backdrop again..

Next update will be of the Ezio Mentor Bust!

Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection Collector's Edition & Release Date

Ubisoft have announced that the Ezio Trilogy collection will be coming to PS4 and XBox One on Nov 15 2016

The Ezio Collection will feature the 3 Ezio games: Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood & Assassin's Creed Revelations bundled with all Single-player DLC (No Multiplayer content) and will be enhanced for the current-gen consoles.

The Ezio trilogy were some of the best games and a fully-developed plot that stretched throughout most of his lifetime. Something I wish the other Assassin's Creed games would follow. AC VII: Part 1, AC VII: Part 2, AC VII Part 3, take a 2-3 years break and then come with another Assassin & timeline.

A Collector's Edition will also be released for the game..

The CE will include
- The 3 games with all Single-player DLC
- Exclusive Collector's Box
- Ezio Auditore Bust - Black Edition (Ok, I'm buying!)
- 3 Lithographies
- A selection of the best tracks from the original soundtrack of the Ezio Collection (2 cds with 40 tracks)

So, with that Bust being announced, I can stop wasting my time considering if I should get the game or not.. I'm buying this!

STGCC 2016 - My thoughts and gaming-related pics!

So, yes STGCC 2016 (Singapore Toy, Game, Comic Convention) happened over the weekend!

One of the few events I look forward to each year. And as the Convention is named, there's plenty of 'Toys', Games & Comics to check out!

I couldn't help but feeling this year was dominated by XM Studios however..

XM Studios' fans couldn't be bothered though. They had a huge presence with their ever-growing list of premium statues.

Mostly Marvel characters and as a gaming collector, I kind of felt left out but there was plenty to marvel at.. (See what I did there?) They have also started on their DC and Star Wars licenses. You can check all the pics on my Facebook profile.

However, there's one XM statue that I pre-ordered sometime back. Jackie Estacado from The Darkness comics..

Only reason I know this guy was from The Darkness PS3 games and that got me started on the comics. Spectacular character and an even more amazing statue.

I can't imagine a better pose for this guy. With his minions and darklings making up the base, this looks more like a diorama than a regular 1/4 scale statue. This comes with a huge price tag but it's pure awesomeness!

Even in XM's huge booth, this was one of the standout pieces.. Definitely will be a standout piece in anyone's collection. Should be releasing later this year and I can't wait to officially be a XM Collector! Haha!

Now.. if only they get the Blizzard license, I'll jump in completely into XM!

Another one of my pre-orders, which should also be releasing later this year, was H.M.O CollectiblesDante from the Devil May Cry games.

Another amazing 1/4 scale piece! Will be my first statue from the very talented Mufizal. I saw this at least year's STGCC and made up my mind to get this at that very moment.

H.M.O also had some of their other works on display, which you can check out here

There were more Devil May Cry collectibles at the con, 1/6 statues from Kinettiquettes.

Fantastic diorama idea... You can see Dante and Vergil at the extreme right and left and as they come closer together in the middle 2 figures, they evolve into their Devil Trigger states.

Really wanted to get this but as you can see, I already have quite a bit of orders.. some of which I have only paid deposit for. Will have to try tracking a set down when it's released. Another must get!

Kinettiquettes also had some of their Street Fighter stuff on display..

1/6 Ken

1/4 Ryu Diorama

Great to see Storm Collectibles with their Klassic Mortal Kombat 1/12 figures on display again!

Already PO-ed the 2 ninjas and I'll be ready for Shao Kahn. No Goro on display though.

Initially thought that Shao Kahn looks too big in comparison to the ninjas, even though they are crouching slightly. Googled some pics and I guess it's not so bad. He was a big guy in the original Mortal Kombat 1.

Didn't see anyone I could ask but I'm guessing the throne comes together with Shao Kahn. I certainly hope so!

I'm very excited for the first 2 figures in this line and the quality better not disappoint. Already have plans to play around with some photography on this figures.

Storm Collectibles also showcased their Street Fighter 1/12 line of figures..

Nice figures, would definitely get this if I'm a Street Fighter fan.

Also on display was this First 4 Figures' Dark Souls statue.

That was pretty much it in terms of gaming collectibles on display. There was a Overwatch competition going on live. Spent some time checking that out but when you don't play the game, it's a bit tough to fully appreciate it.

Hot Toys is still there, with their super-realistic face sculpts. Plenty of Marvel, DC and Star Wars figures but they seem to be making way for XM rather than competing for the attention, with their exhibitions getting smaller.

Imaginarium Art was another powerhouse at the convention. Stunning looking Iron Mans but collectors will need to have plenty of display space, no to mention cash.

Not a lot in terms of gaming. Comic collectibles will always be a lot more popular than gaming but with increasing presence of gaming collectibles in overseas conventions, that same presence isn't seen here yet.

I thought Warcraft had a huge following in the region but I don't remember seeing anything related to that, even with a movie just a few months back.

Didn't even see that many cosplayers doing gaming characters.

With the international success of our local statue/figure companies, Hoping they will pick up more gaming licenses going forward.

Overall it didn't seem too bad however but didn't spend as much time as compared to previous years.Next year's STGCC will be the 10th anniversary I heard so looking forward to seeing a bigger con in 2017!
