Great games will always be something to look back upon in the future and a good figure/statue on my display always helps...
Looks like the team behind the Sony Interactive Entertainment America's Fabrication Group are looking to put one on my shelf.
At PSX 2016, a 20" polystone Uncharted 4 statue was revealed, featuring Nathan Drake performing his signature takedown on a Shoreline soldier.
Limited to 1500 pieces worldwide, this is currently available for pre-order at the Playstation Gear Store for 350USD and is expected to release in April/May 2017.
Unfortunately, that link doesn't work for those outside the NA region but not to worry. I have info from a reliable source that this will also be available on Sideshow, sometime next week for international collectors. (Will update with the link once it's up)
Edit: It's up on Sideshow at this link.
While this is stated as 1/6 scale, at 20", this stands taller than a regular 1/4 statue. Here's a pic of Gary Barth, Art Director/Project Manager for this project, sitting proudly behind this masterpiece, to put things into perspective.
That is 1 huge piece!
Here's a couple more pics from the showfloor at PSX 2016. (All credits to the photographer)
Loving it! It's great that they went for a dynamic diorama rather than a museum pose, bringing out Nathan Drake's bad-ass attitude.
Naughty Dog has been working very closely with Gary on the development of this statue so as to get the most accurate representation of this character... and as amazing as it looks, this isn't the finished piece yet. There's going to be a few tweaks; minor paint improvements and they are also going to add Drake's iconic watch to the statue. Amazing!
Definitely, going to grab this when it's open for pre-order. Still missing a standout statue from this iconic series and this is definitely the one to go for. Very reasonable price for this huge piece, I expect this to be grabbed up by fans of this franchise.
