E3 2018: My Favourites from Sony's Press Conference

Sony's Press Conference will always be the highlight of each year's E3 for me and this was no different.

Their first party exclusives are always top notch, high quality stuff.

Their format, this year, was a little different.. quite confusing in fact but the games.. were as good as always.

Here are my personal favourites from their presentation..

The Last of Us Part 2

Several big exclusives from Sony, but this has to be the biggest one of all..

Joel is mentioned, at the start, as 'your old man'.. so I guess he's still alive which is great.

Ellie is all grown up now, and it seems like we will be playing as her most of the time.

I'm really curious to know if those dodging animations were scripted or real-time animation. Would be very, very impressed if it was real-time. Game also looks more brutal than ever.

No release date yet, but that's a blessing. Too many games coming out in the next few months so would like to take it slow..

Ghost of Tsushima

Another beautiful-looking open world game! Love the colour palette on this! Hoping we would get Photo Mode for this.

Once again, would like to see what's scripted and what's not.. but the combat looks really stylish. Very swift and deadly movements, like what a samurai attack would look like.

Death Stranding

Ah yes, Death Stranding.. most confusing IP ever.. Disturbing as well.

I don't even know what to say about this..

The star-studded cast for this keeps increasing though and yea moving on..

Nioh 2

One of the new reveals at this year's E3..

Just like a lot of these similar-looking games, the difficulty level puts me off. That's not to say, their trailers always look badass and their creature designs are so fucking amazing to look at..

And then when you pick up the controller, you just want to smash it up.. Any easy-peasey mode to announce?

Does seem like too soon to announce it though?

Marvel's Spider-Man

A proper super-hero game... How often can you say this?

Apart from the Batman Arkham games, there were no other great super-hero games in this genre, in a long time.

In fact, the combat does seem similar to the Arkham games, which is a good thing.

I'm totally excited for this and from the ending of the trailer, they do have some more surprises in store. One of my most anticipated games for this year!

Great stuff from Sony as always. Not a lot of new reveals that got me excited but there's definitely a lot to look forward to in the next 12 months.
