In a new Marvel Comics' Spider-Man event, Spidergeddon will feature many different versions of the famous web-slinger from the different universes, including... the one from the PS4 game!
This image was previously teased for the Spidergeddon event.. but a certain character was blacked out..
Polygon has revealed that mystery Spider-Man is none other than the one appearing in the PS4 game.
Christos Gage, who is the writer for Spidergeddon, is also the writer for the Spider-Man PS4 game. How awesome is that!
Spidergeddon will take place after the events of the PS4 game, but Gage said, "We’ll try to avoid huge spoilers for anyone who may read the comic before finishing the game".
The first issue, Spidergeddon #0 will be releasing on Sep 26, a few weeks after the PS4 game's release on Sep 6.

Very cool news! It's great to hear that the PS4 Spider-Man will be canon to the Marvel Comics and not a one-off thing. I always love it when games are expanded into other media forms to tell more stories.
This comes at a time when I have a renewed interest in comics, so I'm definitely very excited for this! Definitely going to follow the Spidergeddon event after finishing the game of course!
