One of my favourite annual gaming events with awards, new trailers and an overall awesome show! Here are my personal highlights of "The Oscars of Gaming"!
These are the games that I have played this year and it's great to see them win some awards and being nominated for several other awards.
God of War
- Game of the Year
- Best Game Direction
- Best Action/Adventure
Red Dead Redemption 2
- Best Narrative
- Best Score/Music
- Best Audio Design
- Best Performance (Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan)
Also Marvel's Spider-Man, which was nominated for several awards. along with Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which I'll start in the near future.
For me, it was between God of War & RDR2 for the Game of the Year award and it was nice to see God of War winning it in the end. RDR2 was a powerhouse, but God of War was an epic game, from start to finish.

Many amazing moments from this year's awards but this was my personal favourite!
He just had to do it, drawing cheers from the audience. Loved it!!
And another amazing moment.. the 3 Big Bosses sharing the stage together. Was this a first?!
And of course World Premiere Trailers! Awesome announcements which I wasn't expecting!
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
What the Bull Crap Shit is this? MUA3 going exclusive to Nintendo Switch! The MUA games were one of the best Marvel games so really pissed about this? Though I would be more happy to see them bring back Marvel Heroes.
Far Cry: New Dawn
Another of the mid-sequels like Far Cry Primal & Far Cry Blood Dragon, this is a post-apocalyptic sequel to Far Cry 5. The Far Cry games always look like fun sandbox games though I have never played a single one yet.
Dead by Daylight: Darkness Among Us DLC
One of the online games that I still play and enjoy. The latest Chapter DLC will feature a new Killer, a new Survivor and a new Map. Plus, the game will have dedicated servers in 2019.
Things are looking good for the future of this game, considering it has been a while since its release. Good stuff!
Mortal Kombat 11
Despite what Ed Boon thinks.. everyone knew they were working on a Mortal Kombat game. Great to see it finally announced!
Not sure if the 2 Scorpions mean there's going to be time-travelling or maybe they are just confirming that there will be variations to each character similar to what was introduced in MKX.
Now who is that new character at the end?
Many fans seem to think she could be from Jade's story ending in MK9.

So many award winners but the real winner is us.. we the Gamers are the winners getting to experience these amazing games!
It was an awesome show and I'm glad to have played some of these games and looking forward to playing those that I haven't!
