Collectible News: Gotham Knights Prequel Comic - Batman: Gotham Knights Gilded City #1

 DC Comics announced a prequel comic series for the Gotham Knights game at SDCC 2022; Batman: Gotham Knights Gilded City.

This series will run for 6 issues, with the 1st issue being released alongside the release of the game. Each issue, whether digital or printed will include an exclusive code for an in-game item for the Gotham Knights game.

In Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City, a mysterious virus has infected Gotham City—turning its victims into rabid, yellow-irised maniacs driven to looting, theft, and bursts of anger. Batman – in his final case before his death – and his Gotham Knights struggle to keep this strange virus contained while investigating its origins. 

But this is not the first time this unusual illness has overtaken the city, as the series splits between present-day Gotham City and the Gotham City of the 1800s, as The Dark Knight and his allies discover the Runaway – one of Gotham City’s earliest masked vigilantes.

The series is written by Evan Narcisse and illustrated by Abel. Here are some character designs by DC CEO, Jim Lee for the comics.

Batman: Gotham Knights Gilded City #1 is expected to release on 8 Nov 2022 and will feature several variants. The full list of variants are listed below, with cover art subject to be finalised.

As mentioned above, there will be exclusive in-game items offered for each issue of this series, and a set of exclusive skin variants for all 4 characters if you redeem all 6 issues' codes.

This issue's exclusive code will allow players redeem a Batcycle (white colorway) skin variant.

Looking forward to this game and I'm definitely getting the comics for this series as well. I might possibly give out some codes over here, if I have extras. All I need is a PS5 by October!
